Persabus Pottery and Art Studio

The Pottery and Art Studio at Persabus was established in the 1970s and offers a creative space for both visitors and local artists. The studio sells unique, island-inspired pottery and art and offers workshops in:

Mixed media art
Pottery painting

All pieces are individually hand-painted, glazed, and fired on the farm, with designs inspired by the vibrant landscapes and seascapes of Islay. Visitors can enjoy a pottery painting experience in the studio or take home a “pottery takeaway” box, which we glaze and fire for you. Mixed media art experiences are also available.

The studio is open Tuesday to Friday, 12 noon – 4 pm, and Saturday, 12 noon – 3 pm. You can also visit our online shop for unique handmade creations.

Just come back from a wonderful long weekend on Islay (our first visit) and so pleased we chose to stay at Persabus in the B&B suite. Rosemary and Donald are lovely owners and were extremely helpful with suggestions on places to eat which was particularly helpful with us staying off season! Location perfect for walking to Ardnahoe and Bunnahabhain distilleries. Absolutely delicious bacon (and tattie scone!) rolls and coffee every morning. Very comfy bed. I can’t fault it.
