Pottery Painting Workshops and Visits over the Festivities

If you would like to book a pottery painting session or visit the studio between Christmas and New Year just drop a message to book a visit.

Over the festive season if you would like to pop along to browse the pottery on sale or do a pottery painting workshop just message or phone to arrange an appointment.

We are open from 6th Jan 2026 Tues to Friday 12noon to 4pm and Sat 12noon – 3pm

At Persabus Pottery and Art Studio we offer a variety of creative mixed media art workshops and courses for you and your family to enjoy, as well as pottery painting experiences.

Fancy trying your hand at capturing the beautiful colours and patterns of Islay’s landscape through charcoal, watercolour or acrylics? Get in touch. We have lots of materials for you to choose from. Why not enjoy exploring your creativity.

Watch as ceramics are hand-painted in the studio, with unique designs, reflecting Islay and Jura’s landscapes and seascapes, before being glazed and fired in our kilns.

Enjoy browsing the Islay-inspired art and ceramics on sale. Each ceramic design has its own unique story, capturing the colours, patterns and textures of island life.

Feeling creative?

We offer creative experiences at Persabus, with ‘takeaway’ pottery painting kits, Or ‘in-house’ painting experiences in our Creative Studio at Persabus.

Enjoy pottery painting workshops. We will guide you through the techniques, as you enjoy translating your own holiday experiences onto pottery. We will glaze and fire the finished artwork, then glaze and fire it for you. Enjoy a unique souvenir of your time on Islay.

We also offer a variety of mixed media Creative Workshops combining art, mindfulness, and relaxation, guiding you on a journey to grow your unique creative style. Our ‘How Do You See the Sea? And ‘How Do You See the Seasons?’ run at various times throughout the year, as well as being available to book privately.

Or we can leave you to enjoy some freestyle creativity as we can supply all the materials you need to create your own art using charcoal, pastels, water colour paints and acrylic paints.

Pop along to our pottery studio at Persabus and browse our unique range of pottery gifts and art, available from the studio and in our online shop. Or enjoy a carefully curated art experience.

Fancy giving pottery painting a go? Feeling creative? We offer the option of pottery painting takeaway boxes, or you can book our new creative studio for your party. Pop along and choose from a variety of unglazed bisque shapes, and paints.

For ‘pottery takeaways’ everything is popped into a box along with brushes, sponges and instructions. Drop the box back a day or so later and pieces will be glazed and fired for you. Or why not book our new Creative Studio space and enjoy a fun filled session of pottery painting at Persabus? Translate your holiday experiences and adventures onto pottery creating a lasting souvenir, or gifts to take home.

Bring your finished pieces to the pottery where we will glaze and fire the pieces for you, ready for collection a day or so later, or we can post it out to your home address

Or book a mixed media art course and enjoy the process of experimenting with pastels, charcoal, acryllic and watercolour, as Rosemary guides you through sketching and painting adventures.
